Modern R & B Grooms Entrance Songs

Welcome to the ‘Modern R & B Grooms Entrance Songs’ this week’s Wedding Ceremony Music Series feature article.  Each week we showcase a different genre of music for a different part of an American wedding ceremony. We covered the Classic Grooms Entrance Songs last week and talked about an unusual ceremony that I am performing on Cape Cod.

You can find all the songs on this list and much more in my book Bridal Songs Your Guide to Wedding Ceremony Music’. Available on Amazon. Many of the songs on this list can be used for other parts of your wedding ceremony or wedding reception.

Tip; remember you only 10 -20 seconds of music for the walk down the aisle. You can use a part of the song that is most relevant to you.

What do you want to say  with your modern R & B grooms entrance songs? You  can set the mood with the right choice.

Classic R & B Grooms Entrance Songs

Hi my name is Jack Barros Welcome to the Wedding Ceremony Music Series. Today’s issue is Classic R & B Songs for the Grooms Entrance Music.

This series is for brides, grooms and wedding industry professionals.  The Wedding Ceremony Music Series is all about different genres of music with example songs that can be used for various parts of an American wedding ceremony. Adult Contemporary, Christian, Country, R & B, Reggae, Rock and more are covered in various issues.

The songs come from my book Bridal Songs Your Guide to Wedding Ceremony Music 2nd Edition

Quick note although these songs have been listed in the Grooms Entrance chapter, they may be used elsewhere in an American wedding ceremony.

I chose to publish this list because of an upcoming wedding where we will be using the Grooms Entrance to start the wedding ceremony. It is not often that a Grooms entrance song is played in an American wedding ceremony. After the pre-bridal consultation with this couple, I am excited about this unusual ceremony.

This wedding reception takes place on the seaside of the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis. A truly fantastic view of the ocean will be the back drop for this sunset ceremony.

The guests will start with dinner inside the Inn, Theresa doesn’t want anyone hungry, and then the bride & groom will change for their seaside wedding ceremony. Theresa & James are an R & B wedding couple and as we discussed the details of the ceremony James mentioned that he wanted one song played during the ceremony.

The classic R & B song Let’s Get Married by Jagged Edge. He wanted Theresa to ‘Meet me at the altar in your white dress’. The grooms entrance was the perfect place for James to play ‘his’ song that will set up the mood for the night for their guests.

‘Let’s burn up the night together, baby’ from Kool & the Gang’s ‘Big Fun’ will have your guests dancing in their chairs as the groom comes into the room.

‘I was blessed the day I found you, I want to build my whole world around you’ will put goosebumps on the arms of your guests as you come into the room to ‘You’re My Everything’ by the Temptations.

Music sets the stage for the mood you want to create. ‘Now that we’ve come to the end of our rainbow, there is something I must say out loud’ ‘you’re once, twice, Three Times A Lady’ by Lionel Ritchie and the Commodores gets everyone into the moment.

‘Mama told me, she said, son please beware, there’s a thing called love’ ‘It’s To Late To Turn Back Now’ ‘I believe, I believe I’m falling in love’ from Cornelius Bros and Sister Rose.

From the very first note of the Four Tops version of ‘I Believe in You & Me’ everyone can feel the love. Whitney Houston covered the song, though I prefer the Four Tops.

There you have a few great classic R & B Grooms Entrance songs. For some this will be a walk down memory lane. I enjoyed listening to the songs as I wrote this artilcle. Almost as enjoyable was going through the R & B Grooms Entrance chapter of ‘Bridal Songs Your Guide to Wedding Ceremony Music’. There were these classics along with a lot of contemporary songs for this often-unused opportunity for the groom to express his feelings.

7 Great Country Wedding Ceremony Songs for the Prelude

DJ Jack 'Jacky B' Barros

DJ Jack ‘Jacky B’ Barros

Hello my name is Jack Barros Welcome to 7 Great Country Wedding Ceremony Songs for the Prelude from the Wedding Ceremony Music Series.

For brides, grooms and wedding industry professionals the Wedding Ceremony Music Series is all about different genres of music with example songs that can be used for various parts of an American wedding ceremony. Adult Contemporary, Christian, Country, R & B, Reggae, Rock and more are covered in various issues.

I also try to provide you with suggestions on what part of the wedding ceremony you can use the various songs.

The songs come from my book Bridal Songs Your Guide to Wedding Ceremony Music 2nd Edition.

Today’s issue is 7 Great Country Wedding Ceremony Prelude songs. Also, it is important to note that although these songs have been listed in the prelude chapter, they may be used elsewhere in an American wedding ceremony.

Country Wedding Ceremony Songs

Put your guests in the mood for a wedding with ‘I Think You’re Beautiful’ by Shane Minor. When he sings ‘I think there is something you should know’, they’ll be wishing it was them.

Country songs are great for expressing your feelings. ‘Lost in This Moment’ by Big & Rich  will have your guests ‘watching my dreams come true, lost in this moment with you’!

If ‘there’s no place ‘I’d rather be’ then a great song is ‘The Way You Love Me’ by Faith Hill

‘Two of a kind, ‘Fit To Be Tied’ by T Carter music is a fun upbeat song is great for a wedding entrance song also. T Carter Music is a great online resource for wedding songs.

Was your engagement frowned upon? then, let Shania Twain tell everyone how you feel with ‘You’re Still the One’

A song of hope. ‘My Wish’ by Rascal Flatts wishes ‘that this life becomes all you want it to’. Hmm sounds like a great parent dance song.

‘Just the thought of you drives me wild’ from ‘You Make Me Smile’ by Uncle Kracker makes everyone think of their significant other.

There you have 7 great country wedding ceremony songs for your prelude or somewhere else in your wedding celebration. My wish is that you will find the songs that tell your love story the way you want it heard.

Till next time, keep on dancing!

Pop Wedding Ceremony Music

Pop Wedding Ceremony Music Post

Pop Wedding Ceremony Music Post

This week’s music list will cover Pop Wedding Ceremony Music! Pop music genre consists of songs that became so popular in the original genre that they have achieved pop status. I like using the pop list of songs for wedding ceremonies as everyone knows the songs. Familiar music makes your guest feel more comfortable and welcomed. Add some ‘pop’ tunes to your wedding ceremony music list.

The songs found in this list can be used in various parts of your wedding ceremony. There are 8 different places in an American wedding ceremony that you may want to choose songs for. Depending on what you want to include in your ceremony.

The points where you could choose to play a song include the Prelude, Seating of The Mothers, Grooms Entrance, Bridesmaids Processional, Brides Entrance, Interlude, Recessional and the Postlude. Most of the time you will only need to choose one song. For the Prelude and the Postlude, you will need to have more songs.

To find out exactly what you need for songs in your wedding ceremony, check out ‘Bridal Songs Your Guide to Wedding Ceremony Music’ 2nd Edition. There is a chapter devoted to each section of an American wedding ceremony. Find out the who, what, when and where of your ceremony.

Traditional Wedding Ceremony Music

Traditional Wedding Ceremony Music

Traditional Wedding Ceremony Music

There are many songs that do not fit into a specific genre of music, or there were not enough songs in that genre to form a category. The one thing that these songs have in common is that they are from our past. They are songs from movies or history that have meaning or say just the right thing to be used in an American wedding ceremony.

Welcome to the traditional genre of wedding ceremony music. When choosing songs for your wedding ceremony, keep in mind that you may only need a small part of the song to get your message across. The walk down the aisle takes from 15 to 45 seconds tops. This allows you to use sections of songs for your traditional wedding ceremony music.
